MUSIC NOTES 3/29/25

More gianter strides this morning!!!! I hope act II was stellar as well!

JACK MOM - @ m. 93  Be sure to emphasize “SHE’S” - But mother, no, he’s the best cow…  “Was. Was.  SHE’S been dry for weeks.”   Really punches up the joke.

M. 110-115 - got a bit ahead of the tempo.  Make sure you really hear 2 beats between the first and second phrases and 3 ½ beats after the 2nd phrase

#1b

STPSIS - much better holding to the tempo but still room to improve there.

CINDY - m. 86 - you’re late with “what’s the”.  It’s right on beat 3.  1) Nice. 2) Tighter. 3) What’s the

#1c

CARRIE FAY - This was a bit too fast.  Lots of exposition here, so a bit slower to ensure all the words and ideas can be fully expressed and not sound rushed.

#1e

WITCH - keep vocal pitch high on ‘milk’ when describing ‘cow as white as MILK’

#1f

CINDY - The last “I wish…” comes after 3 counts

#2

CINDY - too soon @ m. 40

#3

LRR - Diction on your sung lines.  Get the words in front of your mouth and use your lips more.  Open your mouth!!You’re swallowing words and we can’t understand because of the speed.

#5a - Alt

WITCH - it seems you’re not singing some of the lines - m. 19, 49, 53?.  Also word order m. 89 - end.

#6

LRR - When you pop into head voice, get it more forward into your nose - let a nasal quality creep in to make the sound more focused and less breathy.  DICTION!

#6a

JACK MOM - be careful of the line there - you don’t know the beans are magic yet!

#10

RAPRINCE - DOORS OR STAIRS!!!!

#10c

CINDY/BW - timing, ladies!

#12

CARRIE FAY/BAKER - “Here. Tell them it’s magic” - PLEASE COORDINATE SOUND CUE

#15c

ALL - Quiet feet! When you’re all stepping to the side there’s a lot of stomping going on.  Please incorporate quiet feet!

It was also too fast today.

WITCH - M. 75 harmony.  You’re almost there!
