Virtual Auditions

While in person auditions are preferred, if you have a non-negotiable commitment that keeps you from auditioning in person, we will be accepting virtual auditions:

• You must complete all required forms by 11:59pm Thursday, January 23rd.

• You must upload all required materials by 3pm Thursday, January 23rd. Be sure to review What to Prepare and Bring for your Audition for helpful hints on choosing a song.

  • Materials to upload - Please make sure all file names contain your name and what it is.

    • Photo or headshot, in png or jpeg format. Example file name: AngelaRussellPhoto.png

    • Voice Materials

      • Audition:

        • Prepare 32 bars of any musical theatre song (Note this is different from some of our shows where we have asked for only 16 bars). This should be approximately 1 minute long. You may use a background track or have an accompanist for your audition. You may not sing a capella.

        • Submit a video of you performing your audition, starting with your slate. (A slate is you announcing your name, age and the song you will be singing along with what musical it is from). Be sure to watch the video before submission to ensure that your voice can be clearly heard and is not overpowered by the volume of the background track.

        • File name example: AngelaRussellAudition.mp4

      • Range Check

        • Please use this LINK to learn the process for a vocal range check.

        • Submit a video of you performing your vocal range check, starting with your slate. You may use the video provided in the background while you record your vocal range check.

        • Make sure the file name of your video has your name in it. For example: AngelaRussellRange.mp4

    • Acting Materials

      • Monologue

        • Prepare a monologue that is 1 minute or less in length.

        • Submit a video of you performing your monologue starting with your slate.

        • Be sure the file name of your video has your name in it. For example AngelaRussellMonologue.mp4

• Technical questions: If you have technical questions about your video and/or the upload process reach out to angela.russell@lovegood.company or (503) 278-5898. Note: Angela works part time, so it is best to reach out sooner rather than later if you need help.

• Virtual Callbacks will be by invitation only. If you are available for in person callbacks, that is preferred. However, if you are unavailable, you may participate virtually. You may receive an invitation for less than the full time outlined below. The Callback List will be posted to the Audition Callboard by July 16 at 11am. Not receiving a callback invitation does not mean you are not cast in the show. Callbacks will be held July 16 and 18 between the hours of 5-9.
