Build-a-Cabaret
Have you ever wanted to direct? Cast? Choreograph? This class might be for you. It’s time to take the wheel into your own hands and tell a story that is meaningful and compelling. “Build-a-Cabaret” is all about giving you the student, the ability to write a plot line and script, source the music, cast (whether it’s just you or a few friends), choreograph, promote, and perform! The music can be previously written so songwriting experience is not necessary. This is all about the story you want to tell! Due to the performance times, this class will be extremely limited in capacity. We are excited to offer our 16-22 year old students the ability to apply for this opportunity. The deadline to apply is March 25, at 5pm. Applying students will be notified if they are accepted into this Master Class via email by March, 28.
This Master Class meets Thursdays from 6pm-8pm, there will be a Dress Rehearsal on Saturday, June 4, and a ticketed performance on Thursday, June 9.
Master ClassTuition
The tuition for this Master Class with early bird application will be $345. With standard application it will be $370. There will be no fee if you apply and are not selected. In addition, there will be a production fee of $30. This production fee allows us to pay royalties to put on the show and provides a budget for supplies such as props and costumes.
For students also registered for additional class(es) the Master Class tuition (but not the production fee) will be reduced based on the automatic tuition scholarship (10-40%).
The more class and show participation in a single household the higher the automatic tuition scholarship is, with a cap of 40%.
See the bottom of this page for more details on our automatic tuition scholarships and other need based scholarship opportunities
