Break Into: Auditions
We are excited to offer this Audition Master Class for students aged 18+.
Whether you have an audition song ready to go or want help picking one out, this class is for you! If you want to focus on your acting, you will be able to get feedback or inspiration for new pieces. This is a great opportunity to get one-on-one attention from Lovegood’s amazing artistic director, Evan Aldrete. And if you’re a parent / community member who plans to audition for our summer show, Fiddler on the Roof, this is one of the most helpful ways to prepare!
This class meets March 28-30 from 6pm-8pm.
There is no performance aspect for this audition masterclass.
Break Into: Broadway
We are excited to offer guaranteed performance opportunities for students aged 6-18.
Break Into: Broadway I is for students aged 6-11.
It’s never too early to break into broadway! We offer a safe, fun and nurturing environment where kids can pretend, create, and learn a Broadway tune! Campers will work on one group song with simple choreography, and also explore parts of theatre like puppetry, mask-making, sound, light, improvisation, costuming, sets, and makeup!
There will be opportunities for students to work backstage or onstage, in singing roles or not.
All are welcome!
Break Into: Broadway II is for students aged 12-18.
Campers will learn what it takes to create a show from start to finish, from writing to directing to technical design to performing! After a crash course in musical theatre, the campers will write one scene and song, then work together as a team to produce a unified performance using sound, light, costumes, hair and makeup skills.
No prior experience needed - there will be opportunities for students to work backstage or onstage, in singing roles or not. All are welcome!
Break Into: Broadway I and II will meet simultaneously from 9am-12pm. All Classes will perform Friday March 31 before pickup.
