Show Tuition
Why audition for Lovegood?
At Lovegood, we’re not just a community theatre—we are an educational theatre organization dedicated to training and mentoring performers of all ages. Unlike traditional community theatre, where participants audition and perform, we invest in the artistic growth of every student who joins us.
Through our tuition-based model, we create an environment where performers—whether complete novices or experienced artists—receive hands-on training in acting, voice, movement, and stagecraft. Our promise? By the time the curtain rises on our fully staged productions, each performer will have grown in confidence, skill, and artistry—delivering a professional-level performance regardless of where they started.
At Lovegood, we believe that theatre is more than a show—it’s a place to belong, to learn, and to transform. If you’re looking for a place to train, perform, and grow, we can’t wait to welcome you to our stage!

Production Teams
Each student/family who opt-in to having an adult participating on a production team is required to provide at least one Parent/Guardian or adult representative (18+) to represent the student/family family on a Production Team.
With a new, smaller production company that focuses so much on quality, it’s vital that we have the right resources in place in order for a show run to be successful. In order to do that, we ask that those who are not on the cast, but are here to support their family and friends joining a show, get involved and play a role in the success of the production.
Production teams include sets, props, hair & makeup, costumes, house & box office, concessions, greenroom, backstage, and others depending on the show.
Everyone will report to a Team Lead, and work with them and your fellow team members. The Team Lead will be working with the Designer and/or Director to get tasks and deadlines for the team to complete!
We rely heavily on communication, compromise and cheer on our production teams! :)
Some Production Teams will start their work the week after casting, and complete most of their work before the show opens. Others may start their work right before Tech/Dress Week and work through the close of the show. Commitment levels will vary from team to team and from show to show. Depending on the needs of the show, individuals will likely be assigned to more than one team. If you are on cast there will be less options of what you are able to do.
