Acting: The Art of Movement
Acting: The Art of Movement will explore the wonderful world of Commedia Dell’Arte! An important foundation of modern theatre, Commedia involves animated physicality, distinct characterization, improvisation, and as the name suggests...comedy! Students will grow in using their bodies & voices to create bold characters and tell stories through this historic art form, as well as learn how to apply these acting skills to contemporary scripts. This no prerequisite, guaranteed performance opportunity class is perfect for anyone aged 11-22 who is looking to hone full body acting skills and take performing to a whole new level. In addition, this class will prepare students for our spring play.
This class will meet Mondays from 6pm-8pm and will perform at an unticketed Exhibition on Monday, March 18. See the Details section below for more information on prerequisites, class meetings, weeks off and performance times.
Whether you are a returning student or new to the team, thank you for helping us to entertain, educate, and inspire!
