Dynamic Duos

Since we have been made for community and to create art, we should know how to tell stories together! Learn how to become part of a dynamic duo on stage through exploring some of musical theatre's most captivating counterparts. We will focus on growing skills in vocal characterization, interpretation of lyrics and storytelling through movement as you work toward developing duets for our Exhibition performance. 

We are excited to offer this guaranteed performance opportunity for students aged 14-22 who have main stage production experience.

This class will meet Tuesdays from 6pm-8pm and will perform at an unticketed Exhibition on Friday, December 1. See the Details section below for more information on prerequisites, class meetings, weeks off and performance times.

Details

• Prerequisites: Experience in a Lovegood Main Stage Show, or equivalent experience with another organization. Sorry, our KIDS programs do not provide sufficient experience. If you have questions about whether your experience is a good fit for this class, reach out to classes@lovegood.company before registering.

• Age Range: 14-22

• Class and Performance Dates:

  • Classes: Tuesdays, September 5-November 14 6pm-8pm

  • No Class Weeks:

    • October 31

    • November 21

  • Dress Rehearsal: Tuesday, November 28 from 7pm-8:30pm

  • Performance: Friday, December 1 at 7pm. Students will be called at 6pm and doors will be open to friends and family at 6:30pm.

• Casting: Guaranteed Casting

• Attendance: Students must be available to attend the dress rehearsal and be able to perform in the performance to take this class.

• Registration: Registration is open now and will remain open until classes fill or until the registration deadline.

  • Early Bird Registration (register by this date for reduced tuition): August 18

  • Registration Deadline: September 15.

• Tuition, Fees, and Discounts:

  • Class Tuition: $299 with Early Bird (on or before August 18). $324 after August 18.

  • Production fee: $5 Production fees allow us to pay royalties to put on the show and provides a budget for supplies such as props and costumes.

  • Automatic Tuition Scholarship: We offer an automatic tuition scholarship for families who have multiple class and show participation on the same invoice.

  • Service Scholarship: Lovegood offers a service scholarship for households whose primary income comes from ministry, military, education and 501(c)(3) nonprofits.

  • Need Based Scholarship: Money should never be a reason for a student not to participate. Learn about our need based scholarships that are available for all of our classes, camps and workshops.

  • Billing and Payment Policies: Unless we cancel a class or camp based on failing to meet minimum enrollment, we do not offer refunds. Please do not register for this class unless you meet the prerequisites. All tuition and fees must be paid at registration unless you request a payment plan.
