James and the Giant Peach
Main Stage Show Information
Show Tuition
Show tuition will only be collected for students who are cast in the show.
- $400 for students who opt-out of having a parent/guardian participating in a production team production team
- $225 for students who opt-in to having a parent/guardian participating in a production team
- For students also registered for a class the show tuition will be reduced even further based on the automatic tuition scholarship (10-40%)
Here are a couple quick examples of how class and show tuition with the automatic tuition scholarship would work:
Example 1 - a single student taking 1 class who is cast in the show with a parent commiting to a production team
- $295 early bird class tution for the season
- $225 show tuition
- $520 - 10% automatic scholarship = $468
Example 2 - two students taking 1 class each who are both cast in the show with a parent commiting to a production team
- $295 x 2 = $590 early bird class tution for the season
- $225 x 2 = $450 show tuition
- $1,040 - 30% automatic scholarship = $728
The more class and show participation in a single household the higher the automatic tuition scholarship is, with a cap of 40%.

Rehearsal & Performance Information
Producing a successful musical is very rewarding, but it requires a lot of hard work and dedication. Theater is just like any team sport: all the players are important and when one performer is missing, it affects everyone. Before auditioning for the show, please make sure that you are aware of the large commitment involved in participating in this production:
Main Cast Rehearsals: There will be a read through and meet the cast gathering on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 from 5:30-8:30 pm. After that, rehearsals will be on Fridays from 5pm-9pm and Saturdays from 9am-2pm from January 7 through February 26. Rehearsals will be located at Lovegood Performing Arts Company's 2022 Location: 16260 SW Bronson Road, Beaverton, OR 97006. You can view all rehearsals on a calendar here.
Schedule: Performers must attend all of their scheduled rehearsals, however, please note that all students will not be needed for each rehearsal. A student’s individual rehearsal schedule will be based on the role that he or she is playing in the production. Cast members will receive a detailed rehearsal schedule.
Tech/Dress Week: will be February 28 through March 3. All cast and crew will be at evening rehearsals during this time.
Performances: Will be as follows: Friday, March 4, 7pm; Saturday, March 5, 3pm; Sunday, March 6, 4pm; Friday, March 11, 7pm; Saturday, March 12, 11am and 3pm; and Sunday March 13 4pm.
Mandatory Meeting: There will be a All Cast & Crew Parent/Guardian Meeting on January 4 during rehearsal. Attendance is required, whether you are serving on a Production Team or not. At this informational meeting, you will meet the Artistic Team, we will review Cast & Crew expectations, go over the rehearsal and show process and review the online Callboard. Those serving on a Production Team will meet with their team and start preparations and there will be time for Q & A. The meeting will likely last about 1.5-2 hours. Students who are 18+ who will be serving on their own Production Team and/or will be doing all show participation/involvement on their own, do not need a parent/guardian to attend. If you are not able to attend this meeting, you'll need to schedule a time to meet with Amy Bowman to review this information.

About James and the Giant Peach
When James is sent by his conniving aunts to chop down their old fruit tree, he discovers a magic potion that results in a tremendous peach... and launches a journey of enormous proportions. Suddenly, James finds himself in the center of the gigantic peach, among human-sized insects with equally oversized personalities, but after it falls from the tree and rolls into the ocean, the group faces hunger, sharks and plenty of disagreements. Thanks to James' quick wit and creative thinking, the residents learn to live and work together as a family. The dangerous voyage is a success, but the adventure takes a whole new twist once they land on the Empire State Building.
