Dance FUNdamentals

Whether you’re completely new to dance, coming back to dance after a long break or a current active performer, this class will help you hone your technique, strength, stamina, coordination, rhythm and body control. Students in this class will focus on training and will learn a section of upbeat choreography every week. If you’re looking for a safe space to grow in your skills, have fun and gain community this is the class for you! This class is open to all skill levels and ages 8+

We are excited to offer this no prerequisite, guaranteed performance opportunity for students aged 8+.

This class will meet Thursdays from 6pm-8pm and will perform at an unticketed Exhibition on Thursday, May 23.

Details

  • Prerequisites: None

  • Age Range: 8+

  • Class and Performance Dates:

    • Classes: Thursdays, April 4-May 23 6pm-8pm.

    • No Class Week: April 25

    • Performance: Thursday, May 23.

      • Students arrive at 6pm

      • Doors open to friends and family at 7:15pm

      • Performance at 7:30pm

  • Casting: Guaranteed Casting

  • Recommended Attire and Shoes: Wear clothes that can easily move and stretch with your body. No jeans. Tennis shoes/athletic shoes.

  • Attendance: Students must be available to attend the dress rehearsal in order to perform in the performance. Students may take the class and decide not to perform in the performance. However, we need to know this by April 4.

  • Registration: Registration is open now and will remain open until classes fill or until the registration deadline.

    • Early Bird Registration (register by this date for reduced tuition): March 7.

    • Registration Deadline: April 4.

  • Tuition, Fees, and Discounts:

    • Class Tuition: $250 with Early Bird (on or before March 17). $275 on or after March 18.

    • Production fee: $5. Production fees allow us to pay royalties to put on the show and provides a budget for supplies such as props and costumes.
