Design for the Stage: Props

Step into the world where everyday objects transform into key players in storytelling. In our Props Class, you’ll unravel the secrets behind selecting, creating, and manipulating props to enhance every performance. Whether you’re a budding actor, a seasoned stagehand, or a curious enthusiast, this immersive workshop offers hands-on training in:

  • Selection and Design: Discover how props are chosen or crafted to align seamlessly with the production’s theme and period.

  • Characterization: Explore how props can deepen character development and add layers of authenticity to performances.

  • Technical Skills: Learn essential techniques for handling props safely and convincingly, starting with the basics.

  • Creative Problem-Solving: Master the art of quick thinking, adapting, and thinking outside the box.

Led by Danielle Coudriet, our Props Class provides hands-on fun and a creative outlet! Whether you aspire to be on stage, behind the scenes, or simply wish to enrich your understanding of theatrical arts, join us and uncover the magic behind the props that bring stories to life.

This is a no prerequisite, guaranteed technical theater opportunity for students aged 12+.
